| Enjoy
the island hospitality and famous “sweet hand”
cooking of our resident chef, Jason. In the mood for fine
dining or just want to sample some delicious Creole fare?
Either way, we’ll be happy to serve you a memorable
meal. Jason will even pack a picnic- basket for the most intrepid
of hikers! We know that you will probably be so relaxed that
you won’t want to worry about what to wear for dinner.
No problem. Our relaxed atmosphere means that we will welcome
you whatever your attire. If you are concerned about special
requests, we can arrange most things. Just let us know the
details and we will try our best to serve it up the way you
want it. Here are a few of the dishes served daily.
Crawfish
a la Creole
This delicious dish is made up of river crawfish (similar
to prawn) marinated in local herbs and seasonings before being
gently sautéed and served with fresh ground provisions
and dumplings.
Almandier
Catch of the Day
The fishermen bring it to us fresh off the boats and we try
and get it to the table as quickly as possible. However, not
before we have marinated it in lime and herbs and grilled
it to perfection. This specialty is served with a tropical
salsa and two side orders of the day.
Blue
Black Curried Crab and Dumplings
Always a favourite. The delicate taste of these local crabs
beautifully complements the flavour of a well seasoned curry
and you can always have more dumplings to soak up all that
delicious gravy. |
